Before coming to Agios Georgios at Pegeia, a sign reading “Akamas peninsula” leads visitors to the Lara region, with its thick vegetation, bushes, carobs, terebinths and wild olives, pretty bays and promontories reaching in the clear blue sea.

Ammoudi is ideal for a swim, with its green-blue waters, fine sand and 500-meter long beach. The sea-turtle hatching spots can be seen a bit further down the beach.
